The photo is of my niece Melanie Simmons, who has agreed to tell the story of how she's pivoting her acting career in my second book (title TBD, but it will continue the them of storytelling about unsung successes in the entertainment industry begun in my first book Outside The Spotlights. The image is from her most recent success in the play Finding Patience at the Raleigh Little Theater. I went to North Carolina to see a show and it was worth the 10-hour drive!
In addition to continuing her career in theater, commercials and television, Melanie has created a studio in her home where she creates voice overs, audio book content and audition tapes for other actors.
